Optus have confirmed a national data outage which is has been affecting some customers since early this morning.
It is understood that both Optus and Virgin mobile customers have experienced data loss, been unable to make calls or had crossed lines.
Optus has been attempting to restore the service since 10am, with customers advised to try to revert to 3G to get around the issue.
“We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience experienced and appreciate their patience while services were being restored,” Optus said.
