Victorian Man Hit With Death Threats Over Sickening Emu Attack Says It's Not Him Facebook

A Victorian man says he's the victim of mistaken identity - as online trolls threaten him and his family over a video showing a bloke mowing down emus in the outback.

Josh McConnell, he's being targeted because he looks like the suspect in the case, and his profile shows he's into hunting.

The graphic video, which was shared on Facebook yesterday, shows a yet-to-be identified man speeding down a road in a 4WD and laughing as he deliberately mows down multiple emus.

Josh O'Connell says this is a case of mistaken identity.

Mr McConnell told us he's holidaying in Canada at the moment and is afraid of a backlash when he comes home:

“I don’t really want to go outside when I get back home, because my car stands out and a lot of people are going to know it’s me.”

Authorities are currently investigating the video, which was believed have been filmed in South Australia.
