If you're trying to get to Melbourne Airport this morning then you should allow some extra time. Traffic on Tullamarine Freeway was down to one lane after a nasty crash around 5am.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Mickleham Road where a minibus with a driver and 5 passengers on board was hit by a truck and flipped on it's side.
It's believed the minibus was attempting a u-turn on the freeway at the time of the crash. Luckily, only three people were treated for minor injuries.
The banked up traffic jam following the crash is causing a headache for travellers trying to get out to the airport.
This crash comes after a horror smash on the Monash last night where it's a miracle nobody was killed.
A truck clipped another truck traveling city-bound near Warrigal Road at 8:30pm which culminated in a 10 vehicle pile up.
Three people were taken to hospital and another 5 treated at the scene. The Monash was then closed for 5 hours forcing some people to start walking.
