Roads In Melbourne's North Are Absolutely Stuffed Following Rubbish Truck Crash

Motorists in Melbourne's north are facing a horror morning commute after a rubbish truck crashed on the Metro Ring Road.

Two people have been taken to hospital after the tanker carrying about 6000 litres of waste collided with two cars and rolled near the Cragieburn Bypass just after 6am

Chris Miller at Vic Roads says all lanes Greensborough-bound are currently closed with drivers being diverted at Sydney Road causing heavy delays.

Currently, motorists are being diverted at Sydney Rd, and delays stretch back to the Tullamarine Freeway. Drivers can exit the M80 Ring Road at Pascoe Vale Road, turn right onto Camp Road, follow it through to Mahoneys Road, on to Dalton Road and then back on to the M80 Ring Road.

The  traffic queue is estimated to be around 15km long.
