Lone star making a comeback in Melbourne

Remember The Restaurant That Let You Throw Peanuts On The Floor?

The Texas-themed eateries were popular for their free salty peanuts and shell-covered floors in the 90s but then they were sold-off and started closing down.

BUT foodie friends, the good news is Lone Star is making a comeback in Victoria, and Cranbourne is the lucky location getting a new steakhouse.

We still don't know the opening date and exact location but on their website, the chain revealed Cranbourne is one of six locations across Australia to be getting a 'Lone Star Rib House'.

Lone Star was renowned for its large serves of sizzling steak and in 2003 the US-based operator sold its Australian business to local managers seeing several stores close down.

Knox City in Melbourne’s east had one of the eateries, sans the peanuts, but it has since closed down.

As soon as we get more info on all the sizzling steak you want, we will bring you an update.

More to come.
