Wild winds and rain have ravaged the state recently – but next week will be a respite from the winter weather.
Senior Meteorologist Keris Arndt from the Bureau of Meteorology Victoria said come Monday, the weather would be warm and clear.
“We’re forecasting 19 degrees in Melbourne for Monday, so we are looking quite warm compared to recent weeks.”
The weather might be a pleasant surprise, but it’s not out of the ordinary he said.
“It's not unusual to see conditions like this in August. Usually it’s a bit later, but again not unusual”
He said the warm weather wouldn’t stick around too long, with showers expected Wednesday and Thursday next week.
