Part of the Great Ocean Road is closed following the death of a tourist in a bus crash.
A 38-year-old man died at the scene of a crash at Glenaire, between Apollo Bay and Lavers Hill after 5pm yesterday – the Herald Sun reports.
The tourist bus was carring people from the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce to see the 12 apostles when the bus left the road – 28 more people were injured.
Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said the bus, which was towing a trailer, left the road just after 5pm and rolled. One woman was trapped under the bus and was freed, she is in Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition. Six other people were transferred by ambulance to Geelong hospital, all in a stable condition.
