A body has been found on Victoria's surf coast but investigators are saying it's too early to make a link to missing Melbourne mum Elisa Curry.
The human remains were found near the town of Anglesea on Wednesday and a pathologist is working to identify the person and cause of death.
Police have declined to confirm the gender.
The discovery comes 11 days after 43-year-old Ms Curry vanished from Aireys Inlet, just 10km away.
The keen runner was known to jog long distances from the family's holiday home and was last seen on September 30.
A week-long search of land, water and from the air failed to find Ms Curry before emergency services called off the hunt.
Television news footage shows detectives on the sand at Point Roadknight, a beach near Anglesea, on Wednesday.
It has not been confirmed if the body was found in the water.
