Flights due to land at Melbourne Airport have been diverted due to bad weather.
Singapore Airlines flight Q227, from Singapore, was diverted to Sydney due to inclement weather. While Qantas Flight QF80 from Tokyo, was forced to stop in Sydney en-route to Melbourne to refuel in the event of poor weather conditions in Melbourne, 9 News reports.
Jetstar Airways Service JQ501, was diverted back to Sydney.
Airservices Australia this morning tweeted that poor weather “may cause some delays this afternoon”.
“Weather is expected to improve later in the day. Passengers are advised to check with the airline for details,” the organisation tweeted.
