Police can confirm there were fatalities

Emergency services are at the scene of a plane crash at Suttontown in the State's South East.

The small plane crashed into a paddock near the intersection of Walker Road and Sunnybrae Road, Suttontown just before 10.30am on Wednesday 28 June.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, located just south of Mount Gambier Airport.

Police can confirm that there were fatalities, and sadly, there were no survivors.

Further resources from SAPOL's Major Crash and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will be attending to assist the investigation into the crash.

Walker Road has been closed to traffic between Hinton Road and Sunnybrae Road.
