Greater Shepparton City Council will commence demolition works on Monday February 12 on the former service station and café at Victoria Park Lake.
The former Shell Service Station and the old café by the lake are expected to be cleared by the end of way, making way for the Shepparton Art Museum.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure/City Engineer Phil Hoare said the site at the Victoria Park Lake will be fenced off for the safety of all park users. “The demolition works will not impact on users of the park and the caravan park will be accessible via FitzJohn Street,” said Mr Hoare.
“The shared paths in the area will remain accessible and activities like parkrun and other events will not be impacted,”
“Please take note of signage around the site as it will be an active worksite with heavy machinery and we need to ensure the safety of the public during these works.”
The public toilet block and BBQ's across from the former Shell servo will be allowed for the public to use, but it will be replaced during the project.
