Titans concussion fines slashed

The Gold Coast Titans will have to cop just $50,00 in fines from the NRL for breaching the game's concussion laws, if they accept it.

They were one of three clubs issued with breach notices after Round Three, including St George Illawarra and Newcastle.

Gold Coast then put forward a 19-page case outlining how their medical staff correctly treated incidents involving Kane Elgey, Ryan Simpkins and Joe Greenwood in their win of Parramatta.

The NRL on Thursday announced the club would only be forced to pay $50,000, with the remaining $100,000 suspended.

But CEO Graham Annesley admitted they were yet to decide if they would appeal the fine.

The Dragons and Knights also had their fines reduced to $50,000.
