A lesson learned for a Mermaid Beach teen who has apologised to Bali shop owners and promised to never steal again after nicking a couple of watches and a Gucci scarf.
The 17-year-old was arrested at the Denpasar's Ngurah Rai International Airport around 2pm on Saturday for taking the items from a duty free store just before he was set to fly home.
According to News Corp the teen's apology has been accepted as part of a deal struck with the store, meaning he'll walk away without criminal charges.
Instead he's has agreed to repay the $1290 for the two watches and the scarf he took.
He's expected to be released from police custody later today.
