Police believe they have caught the man behind the armed hold-up of a phone store in Southport.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the incident on Monday.
He is accused of waiting for other customers to leave the shop on Scarborough St around 5:30 in the evening, before pulling a gun out and threatening staff.
The offender was caught on CCTV camera smiling as he pointed the weapon at workers.
He allegedly demanded cash and took off with a sum of it.
The 34-year-old has been charged with armed robbery and enter premise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He didn't apply for bail when he faced the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
