LNP makes second M1 election promise

The LNP has announced a commitment of $250 million to build a second M1 to help ease the traffic gridlock.

The funding would pay for half of the $500 million new four-lane arterial between Nerang and Stapylton, with the Federal Government to pay the rest.

The plan has received criticism from Labor however, which has accused LNP leader Tim Nicholls of fudging the cost.
