Lead Foot Drivers Nabbed Every 45 seconds On This Gold Coast Road

Might want to watch your speedometer if you drive along Tabilban St in Burleigh Heads.

The road has been crowned the worst speeding hotspot on the Gold Coast.

According to documents obtained by News Corp, a speed camera set up there for just 19 hours last year, caught more than 1,500 drivers going over the limit.

That's one lead foot driver every 45 seconds.

Those tickets cost motorists $250,000.

The M1 at Gaven was identified as another hotspot, with a camera there nabbing almost 2,000 people speeding over a 38 hour period in 2017.

That's one nearly every minute.
