Police have revoked an emergency declaration for a house and grass fire at Mudgeeraba.

A Rising Fast Road home was destroyed and three fire fighters were treated for heat exhaustion while tackling the blaze on Monday afternoon.

One of the fire fighters was taken to hospital for treatement.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the fire had been contained, although it continued to burn and 13 units remained on scene, trying to extinguish the flames.

Senior Sergeant Brad Pearce said the fire fighters had done an amazing job.

"It's amazing they've been able to contain the fire to the area that it's been in," he said.

The one house has been destroyed, but certainly their actions have saved a number of other properties nearby."
