If you got a ticket for running a red light at the corner of the Gold Coast Highway and Margaret Ave in Broadbeach, you aren't alone.
Police issued fines to more than 1600 drivers at the intersection last year alone, making it the worst intersection in Queensland for traffic light offences.
Lauren Ritchie from the RACQ said that was an average of four a day.
"It's a very congested intersection, there's a lot of traffic that goes through here and a lot of tourists travel through here as well who may or may not know the road rules here but that's not really an excuse," said Ms Ritchie.
"It's really dangerous behaviour and it's not just going to get not you a fine ,but you could also risk someone's life," she said.
Two other Gold Coast intersections made the Top Ten list.
The corner of Musgrave St and Coolangatta Rd in Coolangatta came in sixth, while the Smith Street/Kumbari Ave intersection in Southport was seventh.
