Arrest made over mystery bullet wound

Police believe they solved the case of the mysterious bullet wound.

A 31-year-old man turned up at the Gold Coast University Hospital with a gun-shot wound to his arm on Sunday night, but refused to tell police how he got it.

After some investigations police believe the incident took place in a car on Cotlew St, Southport.

They raided a Paradise Point home on Tuesday where they allegedly found a gun.

The 23-year-old resident was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm, possession of counterfeit money and related drugs and weapons offences.

He was due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
