Police are on scene at a fatal crash in Malanda.
Authorities say a driver and the sole occupant of the car has died following a collision this morning at 10.20 am near the intersection of Catherine Street and Hanson Lane
The driver of the second vehicle a 40 year old woman has minor injuries but doesn't need to be taken to hospital.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area as Catherine Street will be closed for some time.
