A chance visit to a neighbour's property has helped to save a woman's life after she collapsed and suffered a suspected heart attack north-east of Dalby yesterday.

The woman, in her late 40s, had run across to her rural neighbour's property when she collapsed with a cardiac condition and her neighbours were able to raise the alarm and phoned 000.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on the scene to treat the woman before the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper arrived, with a LifeFlight Critical Care doctor on-board.

The woman was flown to the Princess Alexander Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.
