73 Year Old Man Charged Over Alleged Breach of Child Protection Act

UPDATE: Kevin James Scott will remain in custody following a court hearing in Coffs Harbour on Monday.

The 73 year old was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station following a report to local Police on Friday night.

After questioning, Mr Scott was later charged with fail to comply with reporting obligations.

On Saturday, he appeared at Coffs Harbour Local Court, however, due to a hearing problem, he was then remanded to reappear in person at the same court on Monday.

Hit 105.5 understand that Mr Scott appeared before Magistrate J Gibson today in Coffs Harbour Local Court where bail was again refused.

He is due to reappear on Monday 28 May 2018.

EARLIER: A man has been charged in relation to an alleged breach of the Child Protection Act.

About 7:30pm on Friday night, a 73 year old man was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station following a report to local Police.

He was questioned and later charged with fail to comply with reporting obligations.

The 73 year old was refused bail and appeared at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Saturday.

He was then remanded to reappear at the same court on Monday 21 May 2018.
