With Rocky resident Harry Foster making it down to the final three on Masterchef and working on Heron Island, we decided to look at other famous residents that hail from CQ.

Hailing from Rocky, Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou have and still have an amazing music career they have supported Pete Murray, Dolly Parton and James Blunt.

Both are elite cyclists and have represented Australia in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. More recently Anna Meares has been named a flag bearer at the Rio Olympics. 

From Rocky she has appeared in theatre productions including Wicked and Mamma Mia!, she is best known for starring as Sandy in the 2013–2015 Australian production of Grease and more recently the production of Singin in the rain.

Hailing from CQ he is an Australian former tennis player who was the No1 ranked professional from 1964 to 1970. In 2000, Centre Court at the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne was renamed Rod Laver Arena

An international model who started her catwalk career on the local runways in Rockhampton. She has worked in Japan, Paris and New York. She has walked in New York Fashion Week a number of times and was the face of Burberry's Blue Label.

Attended Emmaus College and played with the Central Queensland Capras before being signed to Melbourne Storm. In 2013, he won the Queensland Cup Rookie of the Year award.

From Gladstone she was named the second fittest woman in the world in 2015. She has competed for Australia in Crossfit and weighlifting and is set to compete in the Rio Olympics.
