Two Raiders players have been named in the Kangaroos squad for the upcoming ANZAC Test.

The Test against New Zealand kicks off at Canberra’s GIO Stadium on Friday May 5.

Raiders second-rower Josh Papalli has been named on the interchange and prop Shannon Boyd has been named as 18th man.

The Aussie side will be captained by Cameron Smith – this will be his 50th Test match, as well as his 27th as Captain.

Kangaroos Coach Mal Meninga said selectors chose the team largely based on who played well in the 2016 Four Nations campaign.

“Not only do these players have established combinations with each other, but they are also well aware of our values,” Meninga said.

“However the State of Origin series and then the remainder of the NRL Premiership will be major considerations when we look to name our squad for the World Cup later this year.”

The Kangaroos squad will get together in Canberra on Monday May 1, ahead of the game on Friday.
