Police have charged a boy following investigations into a suspicious fire at a Morningside school earlier this week
The devesating fire took out one year 4 classroom, several year 3 classrooms and a mixed year 2 and 3 building at Morningside State School.
The fire broke out just before 3am on the Pashen Street grounds on Tuesday morning.
Police said today in a statement:
"A 16-year-old boy was charged yesterday with one count of arson and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.Investigations into the incident are continuing with police asking members of the public who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact them."
