The principal of Bendigo South East College - ERNIE FLEMING - has announced he has resigned after almost 18 months after being sidelined by the department of education and training.
The department was investigating allegations of inappropriate practice and procedure with a statement from Fleming suggesting their investigation has been unfair as he's never been allowed to meet the investigator.
Despite this, Fleming says he steps away from public education holding his head high knowing he's helped educate thousands of young people to the best of their ability.
