A 17-year-old girl remains in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in the back at Renmark High School yesterday.
She was flown to Adelaide after being worked on in Berri, while the alleged attacker is also being treated for a medical condition.
The 18-year-old accused from Paringa has been charged with aggravated assault causing serious harm and will face a bedside hearing today.
It's believed the pair are Facebook friends and had a dispute, leading to the attack.
The Education Department is working with Renmark High School to ensure support services are offered, like counselling for students and staff.
Within minutes of the attack, Police had the High School in lockdown along with a nearby Primary School where students hid under desks.
