Former Ryan Catholic College student Tiffany Hislop is heading home this week to bring a 'highly physical performance' to the Dancenorth stage.

Tiffany has been growing as a dancer at Transit Dance Tr.IPP (Transit International Professional Pathway), a fresh professional development pathway in Melbourne for emerging contemporary dance artists.

Speaking exclusively to Hit 103.1 Tiffany promises the night will show off contemporary dance with two original works by renowned choreographers Stephanie Lake and Israel Aloni.

"This highly physical performance is a tribute to the collection of recent graduates' time in 2018," says the 22-year-old.

The performance labelled Mātūrus has seen students inject long hours of creativity and training into their preparation.

On Wednesday and Thursday evening this week at Dancenorth 16 artists in Tr.IPP will take to the stage for the first time Townsville.

"This is the groups first trip to Townsville and we hope to really engage with the community there. We would like to invite Townsville to come along and see Transit Dance Tr.IPP's double-bill Maturus presented at Dancenorth," says Miss Hislop.

"We are really grateful to bring contemporary dance to Townsville and to share our work in regional areas like this."

The shows begin at 7pm and run for approximately 90 minutes.
