Hit106.9 partners with Newcastle Pride 2018

Hit106.9 is proud to partner with the first ever Newcastle Pride Festival, taking place Friday 24 August – Sunday 26 August 2018.

Newcastle Pride is an inclusive, vibrant and fun event celebrating solidarity in gender and sexuality diversity in Newcastle, showcasing Newcastle as a city of diversity, culture and beauty.

There are 4 events over the weekend of Newcastle Pride Festival;

Short ‘n’ Curlies – Short Film Evening
A smorgasbord of some of the best international short films curated by Queer Screen. There will be lots of audience participation, with champagne and canapés on arrival.

Pride Fair Day
Pride is a time for celebration and involves lots of colour ‘n’ motion. Drag out your rainbow attire and head to Pride Fair Day. Just be comfortable and come celebrate this family friendly event. You can also catch the Hit106.9 Hit Squad onsite at Pride Fair Day!

Loud and Proud Dance Party
Dress in your loudest and proudest glitter outfits and dance all night to the beats of DJ Ruby Red and DJ Steve W, with all the glitz and glamour of three legendary performers from Drop Dead Drag.
WHEN: 6:00pm, Saturday 25 August 2018
LOCATION: Cooks Hill Surf Club, Bar Beach

Priscilla Pride Wine Tour
Get your Priscilla on and sing your way around the Hunter’s beautiful wine region. Including private tastings, a delicious lunch and visits to the Hunter Distillery, Matilda Bay Brewhouse, Hermitage Road Cellars, The Smelly Cheese shop and the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company.
