Preventing violence against women

Raise Awareness For White Ribbon By Coming To A Not So Silent Night This July

Head along to A Not So Silent Night at Clarence on the Bay on Saturday, July 28 to raise awareness and prevent violence against women, in support of White Ribbon.

For just $25, you can enjoy a night of dancing, enjoy music from local band, REWIND, be in the draw to win some great prizes and munch on some delicious canapes!

In Australia, one in three women have experienced physical or sexual assault in her lifetime. These women are our mothers, girlfriends, wives, daughters, colleagues and friends. The mission of White Ribbon is to change the attitudes and behaviours that support or excuse this violence against women in Australia.

The White Ribbon Campaign objectives are:
· to create widespread awareness of the positive role that men can play in stopping violence against women
· to enable leadership, particularly by men and boys, to bring about social change, and
· to build collective knowledge and understanding of the effective prevention of violence against women.

To purchase your tickets to the event, you can phone 0400 876 137.
