As 3,000 participants lace up their runners and get ready to conquer the bridge this weekend.
Run the Bridge Hobart event is back catering to all ages and including 20 Olympians and international athletes from around the world.
Including, Commonwealth Games bound marathoner, Liam Adams.
He's in town and ready to claim another crown in the big 10km race.
"The training for commonwealth games is going well. I’ve really up the ante these last two weeks and the body has responded well so far. The next few weeks will be even harder so hopefully I continue to respond well and be fresh enough to run a fast 10km."
- Liam Adam, Marathoner
But it's not just for the serious athletes, there are four events on Saturday 17th February, ranging from 10km, 5km run, 5km walk and 1km.
Locals are urged to look into another travel options with the bridge closed from 7am Saturday 17th – 9am on Sunday 18th February.
All to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in state where according to the 2014/15 National Health Survey Tasmania has the most number of overweight and obese residents.
"These health statistics are highly alarming and society needs events like this so people can lead a healthy and active lifestyle, then test themselves at a major event"
- Richard Welsh, Race Director
