It's hard to believe that it was 112 years ago when the Gold Coast Show first brought its Dagwood dog and fluffy farm friends to the Gold Coast.

Fast forward to 2018 and there's some big and exciting changes for the expected 65,000 people to walk through the gates this long weekend.

Kicking off on Friday 31st until Father's Day on Sunday 2nd all the usual suspects will be on show including baby farm animals, arts and crafts, wood chopping, side-show alley, equestrian and of course, the epic show bag pavilion.

But it's the new kids on the block that are bound to turn the most heads...

Here are some of the newest attractions and BIG reasons why you can't miss out on the show this year:

New Locations

The Broadwater Parklands in Southport will be the new home of the show everyday from 9am - 9pm, making it the first time in history an agricultural show will be held by the waterfront. It'll host all the main entertainment across the three days and have a beach backdrop to boot.

You'll also notice another footprint on your trusty show map - Owen Park and the Southport Pony Club nearby will be the second satellite location allowing the show to bring back a full equestrian program including cattle competitions and a not-to-be-missed dog show.

And better yet, it's a cheap and fun way to spoil dad this Sunday for Father's Day with more spending money to enjoy on rides and those tasty carnival treats.
