It’s hard to argue with the facts. Selling more concert tickets annually than any other Australian band, it’s no secret that The Cat Empire is the real deal and just about as good as it gets when it comes to live performances.

Famous for iconic jazz-funk party anthems such as The Lost Song, The Chariot and Days Like These, this nearly 20-year-old six-piece band from Melbourne are currently wrapping up their 2018 nationwide tour right here on the sunny Gold Coast.

And when they arrive expect them to be rolling out brand new music in a completely unique way.

Dropping one new song on the first day of each month with plans to release an entire album in full early next year, The Cat Empire have changed the game by simultaneously keeping fans happy and on the edge of their seat. Of course, all of these new tunes are being trialled and performed in venues along the way.

Here’s their latest, La Sirene, released at the start of this month.

Promising to have you dancing up a storm, singing out loud and smiling your face off, this is one band that always delivers by the bucket load. And while they’ve forever been known as non-stop energetic showmen, this time they’re amping things up to 100 by bringing The Empire Horns and indie favourite Odette on the road with them.
