Let's get serious here, we all love a good meme. But while social media has the ability to connect you with friends, family and anyone in the world, we still log on and follow the same four steps. Scroll. Stop. Laugh. Tag. Isn't that why we still use Facebook?
Whether you pronounce it meme, mem meh, mee mee or mem, you know what it is, and whether you'll admit it or not - you love 'em.
So next time you laugh at a meme, we'd recommend saving it, because next month there's going to be possibly the biggest meme-exchange the Gold Coast has ever seen.
Two local lads have started up a Facebook event that has sparked the interest of over 1.4K people so far called 'AirDrop memes to strangers at Burleigh Hill'.
The concept? Load up your camera roll with memes, head down to Burleigh Hill, turn on your AirDrop and watch the memes roll in.
If you didn't think Burleigh Hill was busy enough on a Saturday, picture over a thousand people staring down at their phones, laughing, and then trying to spot the sender. Personally, we think it's a genius idea.
If you want to take part in this event then you're in luck - it won't cost you anything except a collection of your most beloved memes. So start stocking up.
For those who have scrolled down this far into the article without knowing what a meme is, here's a few of the Internet's meme trailblazers of 2017...
Location: Burleigh Hill
Date: Saturday, November 18th
If you don't want to take part in the Gold Coast biggest meme-off but you don't want to sacrifice your Saturday morning walk through Burleigh, maybe turn your BlueTooth off.
For the rest of you, let's make some memeories.
