Bao Burgers is the latest eatery to join the already bustling Capri on Via Roma food market. The Asian restaurant is nestled between Edgewater Dining & Pomeroy’s Coffee Roasters and steals a glimpse of the river and Surfers Paradise skyline.
For those who don’t know, a Bao is pretty much a little cloud of heaven. It’s a white soft steamed bun stuffed with Asian ingredients, herbs and sauces. Bao Burgers at Capri on Via Roma isn’t the first Gold Coast restaurant dedicated entirely to Bao, BUT they are shaking things up and doing bao very differently!
The Bao Burgers menu has more than 10 different Bao’s on offer with all of the usual favourites like pork belly bao, confit duck bao & soft shell crab bao. They also have a bacon & egg bao, a smoked salmon bao and a haloumi bao making up the bulk of the breakfast menu. The most epic bao of all is the ‘American BAOger’ complete with beef patty, mustard, cheese and tomato relish!
If you’re watching your waist, you can opt for your bao without the bun, meaning you can choose any bao from the menu and turn it into a bao salad bowl. On top of all this, Bao Burgers also have sides like spring rolls, loaded fries and chicken wings on offer. Oh and did I mention they have gelato and gelato shakes too?! 'Cause they do!
Give Bao Burgers a visit to get your bao fix ASAP! Find them at 5 Via Roma, Isle of Capri QLD 4217
