Make the most of your Trundle ABBA Festival experience and start the weekend festivities early!
The Trundle St. Patrick’s Primary School will be hosting a 70s Music Trivia & Disco, to be held at the Trundle Memorial Hall on Friday, May 4 from 8.00pm.
Organised and run by the highly dedicated and organized school P&F committee, the trivia part of the evening is being hosted by QuizzaMe – taking quiz nights to the next level.
A wireless buzzer and screen displaying questions from a ‘super computer’ replace pens and paper. With video, picture and audio questions, with all of the music supplied by a live band, the entire event is fast-paced, interactive and guaranteed to have the crowd on the edge of their seats.
“Instant gratification comes in the form of correct answers shown after every question, with the excitement of real-time live score updates – just like a television game show!” says St. Patrick’s Trish Cleal.
The lively atmosphere will have a focus of fun, with the trivia led by a professional QuizMaster, who will work the room to ensure everyone is part of the live entertainment. Capitalising on the crowd’s enthusiasm, the evening will then progress to a disco with live music – and while the identity of the Sydney-based band is being kept a surprise, Trish can reveal, “We can tell you they are very, very awesome, totally funky and able to play anything.”
The first disco to be held in the Trundle Memorial Hall in 30 years, the evening will boast full bar service courtesy of the P&F committee, a huge disco ball and, “you never know who will be popping in for a boogie!” says Trish.
The event will be raising money for the tiny school – which only has 29 enrolled students for 2018. As a small school, resources are limited – but hearts are big! “Last year we fundraised for a wonderful sensory garden outside the infant classroom, as well as new playground equipment for our sand pit,” explains Renee Holloway, who oversees the school’s Administration and I.T Support.
“So this year we would love to provide some form of shelter over both these new areas and we would also love to purchase a water fountain for children to use over at our ‘big field’.
” Now is the time to watch old episodes of RockWiz and Spicks and Specks to brush up on your music trivia. Come along with friends, or ‘rock up’ by yourself and be matched with a team.
The evening will be country hospitality at its finest and an excellent way to find your groove for the weekend ahead! Tickets are $25.00 and available now via www.123tix.com.au.
