The official Toowoomba Australia Day celebration will kick off at 8am with a welcome to country and smoking ceremony. This will be followed by the awards and citizenship ceremony which will run until 10am.
There will be children's rides, face painting, entertainment, a free sausage sizzle and more help celebrate.
There are also events being held in Crows Nest, Cambooya, Clifton, Highfields, Oakey, Warwick and Pittsworth:
Highfields Pioneer Village start their celebrations from 8AM and will run through til 5PM.
The event is being held on Wirraglen Road and will include the official opening of their new shearing shed, an Aboriginal dance workshop, live music and so much more!
Did someone say Pool Party!
The Highfields Fitness and Recreation Centre will hold a pool party from 9am to 5pm with games and giveaways throughout the day.
You will find them on O’Brien Road, Highfields.
Centenary Park is the place to be in Crow’s Nest. It all starts at 7AM in Charlotte Street with an awards presentation, music, bush-dancing and a Waltzing Matilda re-enactment.
A free breakfast will be served at the Clifton FE Logan Hall on Leyburn Road from 7AM followed by a ceremony.
Start the celebrations with a breakfast at 7;30AM.
An award ceremony will follow at the Amphitheatre, Arthur Shooter Park, on Stanley Street.
From 10AMthe park will filled with entertainment - billy cart races, thong throwing, a lamington eating competition and much more.
It’s all about family in Pittsworth with a family fun day at the Pittsworth Pioneer Village from 7AM – 12PM.
At 9AM there will be an official ceremony.
Today’s event includes something for everyone with jumping castles, food stalls, live music, vintage cars, billy cart races and more.
8AM there will be a free brekkie at the Recreation Grounds on Lucy Street.
The awards ceremony will kick off at 9AM.
Wawick’s Australia Day celebration will take place at the Glengallan Homestead.
The event will run from 8AM – 12PM and will include an awards presentation, entertainment and markets.
However, you choose to spend the day "Happy Australia Day".
