It’s time to let the kids creative side shine!

Grand Central are hosting free lantern making workshops as part of their partnership with LIT Festival: Stories In Light.

The workshops kicked off last Saturday with 60 lanterns created by children.

Grand Central Marketing Manager Marieke Bridgeman:

“The workshops are being run by Toowoomba artists Jesse Paul Wright and Connor Quill, who guide children in creating their very own dream lantern,” she said.

“No bookings are necessary – simply pop by the workshop space near Woolworths on Level 1 of Grand Central.  We provide all the materials necessary – you just need to bring your creativity and imagination!”

During the workshops, children write their dream of the future and draw a picture - both of which are put on the lantern.

The workshops continue tonight from 5pm-8pm, and on Saturday from 10am-1pm.  During the workshops, children write their dream of the future and draw a picture – both of which are put on the lantern.
