Staff at the National Film and Found Archives in Canberra have donned feather boas and got their groove on for something very different from their regular day to day job!

They’ve produced a video to the rhythm of one of Kylie Minogue’s classic 90’s hits as part of their entry for the international Museum Dance Off competition.

It features museums, galleries, libraries and archives around the world showcasing their facilities and work, as well as their best dance moves!

Given the competition is in its fifth and final year, staff really wanted to impress, so they went all out…

NFSA CEO Jan Muller said they wanted to portray the work they do in a fun way.

“They are all very proud of the organisation, as well as committed to the mission of the NFSA, and I think the audience will see that in this clip,” she said.

“Plus, we discovered that some of our colleagues have great dance moves up their sleeves!”

The NFSA will take part in the first Australian semi-final against the History Trust of South Australia and the National Portrait Gallery.

Audiences can vote for their favourite clip online on April 19 and 20.

The winner of the first round will go to the Australian final on the 7th of May, with the national winner to take party in the international ‘Thunderdome’ final on May 14.
