What's happening at our ski fields?

A streak of bluebird days has made for a great first week of the school holidays here in Thredbo.

Low overnight temps at the start of the week made for excellent snowmaking. The clouds are expected to roll in on Friday with snow in the forecast as we head into the weekend.

The open runs are looking good with great coverage from top to bottom. Conditions are hard packed up high, softening on the way back down towards the village. Fresh wind-blown stashes about too - mostly in the Cruiser area.

It’s been an awesome week for all ages with plenty of school holiday fun with the Kids July Snow Festival. A few new runs opened up this week including True Blue and The NASTAR Race Course for those wanting to clock their speed. The Rail Jam Plaza has also remained set up in the Cruiser Terrain Park for plenty of action shots.
Here at Thredbo we have 13 lifts running. Over at Perisher, 38 lifts running.

Thursday’s are the best night of the week in Thredbo with Family Fun Nights featuring the Kids Flare Run and Fireworks. Plus, Family Après, games, activities and entertainment on Friday flat. The July Kids Snow Festival also continues into next week with plenty of games, activities, entertainment and fun.

Also, make sure you take a break from shredding this weekend to check out the CAPiTA x Union Demo – a free “try before you buy” for all ages.
