The white tents have been put up around Civic which means it’s nearly Multicultural Festival time!

Organisers have created a jam-packed program this year, in a bid to beat last year’s visitor numbers of 280,000 people.

From Friday 16 to Sunday 19 February, Civic will come alive with a huge range of activities, performances and food – all celebrating our cultural diversity.

Some of Australia’s top entertainers will be there – including Poh, Baker Boy, Leo Sayer and Canberra’s own Lucy Sugerman!

Festival goers with kiddies can also pop into the Children’s Sanctuary in Civic Square, with a range of activities like craft, music, dance and more!

Then of course there’s the huge range of cultural performances, music, dance, performances and the food. The delicious food!

Treat yourself to Turkish gozleme or a traditional curry followed by some Loukoumades and a German beer?

And you can’t go wrong with chip on a stick!

There will be some temporary road closures in place around the city – check out the full list here.

The ACT Government’s also providing more late night rapid buses, to help get festival goers to and from the event safely, without the hassle of parking.

And for those thinking of having a few too many bevvies and acting up, think again.

28 CCTV cameras will keep an eye on things, to make sure everyone can enjoy a safe festival.
