Imagine looking up at the sky and seeing a giant jellyfish or flying bunnies soaring above.

You can experience that and plenty more at Flying High in the Googong Sky this weekend!

It’s expected to attract hundreds of kite flyers and spectators, with this year’s event landing on Father’s Day.

So gather dad and the family for a fun and colourful day out at Rockley Oval in Googong!

All the family favourites will be in the sky, as well as a humpback whale kite, piglets and more.

“There is something special about kites that brings out the kid in us all,” Googong Project Director, Malcolm Leslie, said.

“We’re never quite sure what mythical creatures will appear on the day but it’s sure to be a stunning spectacle.”

While on the ground, local chef Harish Chocha will feed the crowd with some of the best burgers in town!

It’s the perfect opportunity to treat dad to a relaxing day out while also indulging in delicious burgers and beer.

There’ll also be a sausage sizzle and a DJ entertaining the crowds!

But if you prefer something a bit more romantic, you can also pack your own picnic.

Make this Father’s Day one to remember and head to Flying High in the Googong Sky!
