Fed up with the dating apps, or know someone who’s a bit unlucky in love?

One hopeless romantic may have uncovered the secret to finding that special someone!

Tatum Brown, who set up the Adopt Don’t Shop Foundation to help local rescue animal groups by hosting dog-related events, is all too familiar with the struggles of dating.

So, she decided to combine her quest for love with her dog obsession, by creating a ‘Dating with Dogs’ event!

“Being unlucky with Tinder dating and unlucky with love, I thought, hey dogs always bring people together in community events, why would you not do it in dating?”

After all, studies have shown having a tail wagging wingman does make you instantly more attractive!

It’s a fun and flirty get together for Canberrans aged 30-40 at Capital Brewing Co on May 6.

While it is a BYOD (bring your own dog) event, there’ll also be extra puppy pals there for those who don’t own one.

The $46.50 ticket gets you a drink on arrival, nibbles for you and your fur baby, plenty of pup-petting opportunities, and most importantly, the chance to meet the love of your life!

“This makes things a little bit more real, you’re sharing that common connection with your dogs and it might have a better effort towards match making than using apps like Tinder and Bumble,” Tatum said.

“I want love to blossom whether it’s between dogs or people!”

While this particular event is targeted to 30-40 year olds, the organisers hope to host more get togethers for other age groups and those with other sexual preferences.

50% of profits from ticket sales will go to Best Friends Pet Rescue.

Tickets are selling fast, so make sure you get yours online today!
