One of the biggest Halloween parties in Australia kicks off in Googong this weekend, with plenty of spooky surprises in store!

10,000 witches, mummies and superheroes will strut their stuff on Saturday night for Boogong, in what will be a spectacular treat for the whole family.

The event has moved to Rockley Oval with a stage show, pop-up performances, roving entertainers and a kids’ disco!

Peet Development Director Penny Forrest said the real attraction is the crowd.

“The Googong community adores Boogong and they turn out in force, visitors come from far and wide and the costumes and make-up are amazing.”

Monsters big and small will be wowed by the circus talent, which includes aerial divas “Scare in the Air”, acrobats and jugglers from Warehouse Circus and Circaholics, stiltwalkers from Dance Circus and more.

Get dressed up in your most frightful outfits and hit the catwalk for your chance to win a fabulous prize!

The creepy graveyard is also a must-see, with 30 mysterious headstones surrounded by mist and hordes of goblins, ghosts and zombies making their way through the crowd.

More than 20 gourmet food vendors will be there feeding the grisly masses, before the fireworks display lights up the sky at 9pm.

Make sure you get there early though to snag your spot as huge crowds are expected!
