We’ve grown up waiting for our Hogwarts acceptance letter to arrive so we can be swept away to something magical.
Unfortunately, our letter never came and we’ve been slaves to the 9 to 5 life and we will take any slice of magic we can get.
In walks the opportunity we’ve been waiting for: to jump aboard the real Hogwarts Express and (pretend) we’re heading to complete our first year at Hogwarts!
The train used in the films, the Jacobite, has been voted the best steam railway journey in Britain and runs round trips in Western Scotland twice daily from April to October each year, bringing the Harry Potter magic to life!
Please note: the train does NOT depart from Platform 9 and ¾.
The trip runs from Fort William and journeys through some spectacular scenery all the way to Mallaig in the Highlands of Scotland. The trip is six hours each way.
It’s now celebrating its 125th anniversary and we can’t think of a better way to spend our tax refund than on a Harry Potter-themed holiday!
You can book your train trip online HERE.
