Year 9 And 10 Students To Learn About Endometriosis
Disease affects one in 10 women
From the start of Term 2, Year 9 and 10 students at 80 public and private schools will learn about Endometriosis.
The Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Talk program is jointly funded by the State and Federal Governments and is hoped to raise awareness among young girls.
At the moment, the average wait for a diagnosis is nine years because too many people think the debilitating pain is normal.
The disease that affects one in 10 women causes pain, nausea, fatigue, organ damage and infertility.
