Witnesses Sought After Car Plough Through People At The Gabba

Three people have been hospitalised after a car lost control and ploughed into them following a Big Bash cricket match at the Gabba in Brisbane.
The vehicle left the road and mounted the footpath on Stanley St about 9.45pm on Wednesday, about 30 minutes after the game ended, hitting the trio and throwing them through a shopfront window.
Queensland Ambulance Service medical director Stephen Rashford said the pedestrians, a 23-year-old man, 28-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, were taken to hospital with lower body injuries, mostly cuts.
Dr Rashford said it was lucky no one was badly injured and it didn't occur earlier when most people were leaving the cricket.
"This was a very close shave for emergency services who responded very quickly," he said.
The 35-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital for treatment.
Queensland police are awaiting the results of a blood test to determine if he was under the influence at the time of the crash.
Investigators are also urging witnesses or anyone with footage of the 1992 maroon Nissan Skyline sedan in the area prior to the incident, to come forward.
