We're being reminded to switch off our sprinklers as we head into the winter months.
The message comes from Water Minister, Dave Kelly, as the ninth annual Winter Sprinkler Switch Off kicks off this Saturday 1st June.
Mr Kelly says those of us who live in the South West and Great Southern understand climate change is real, as we simply don't get the rainfall into our dams that we used to a generation ago.
The switch-off applies to both scheme and bore water users, however, hand watering is permitted.
So far the program has saved an estimated 40 billion litres of water.
