White Hills are the 2018 Bendigo District T20 champions after they defeated Bendigo United by 4 wickets last night at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

It's the club's first piece of top grade silverware since the Demons won the 1992-93 BDCA title.

The Redbacks won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 8/108 off their 20 overs after recovering from 4/19 early on.

Adrian Cronin top scored with 27 while man of the match Rhys Irwin took 4/22 off his 4 overs.

The Demons began strongly with a 42 run opening partnership between Brayden Stepien and Ryan Grundy before collapsing to 5/73

The match came down to the final over with White Hills requiring 10 runs off the Leigh McDermott over.
