SoCal

There is no problem a burrito can’t fix and lucky for us, April 1st is National Burrito Day! It is the perfect excuse to eat a burrito for breakfast, lunch and dinner with some of Sydney’s best.

Take a look at some of our favourites:

Taco Burrito Mexican Cantina - Penrith

This new kid on the block makes the tastiest Mexican food in the West!!!! Fresh ingredients, slow cooked and seasoned to perfection, your tastebuds will be dancing. Their service is also top class!

Whether you are vegan, vego or hungry for meat, pick from a huge range of fillings - mildly spiced Morita ground beef, chicken adobo, slow cooked pulled pork or smokey pulled beef brisket, pulled jackfruit or pinto, kidney & charred capsicum. The burritos are stuffed with your fav fillings, sauce or salsa and sour cream. You must try!!!

Address: 8/98-100 Henry St, Penrith

SoCal Neutral Bay

One of the best Mexican feeds in Sydney is SoCal. Owners Ben and Hamish went to California for a surf trip and fell in love with the food, drinks, and laidback vibes, so brought it to Sydney!!

They’ll be offering up plenty of tasty deals in celebration of National Burrito Day. Swing by for a $15 Burrito & Beer or $20 Burrito & Margi special for lunch or dinner. Fill your burrito with smoked lamb or brisket, grilled achiote chicken or veg, complete with ALL the fillings! You will be wanting to go back for more. Seriously, delicious.

Address: 1 Young St, Neutral Bay

Flying Fajita Sisters - Glebe

Head to Glebe Point Road and be transported to Mexico! The music sets the mood for a fun vibe. Burrito-wise, have yours stuffed with roast cauliflower, jackfruit, chipotle chicken, beef brisket or chorizo! It's jam packed with fillings and served with guajillo tomato salsa, sour cream, corn salsa and baby greens. Wash it down with a Margarita!

Address: 65 Glebe Point Rd, Glebe

Gringos Putney Fresh Mexican Restaurant

Chris and Lexi have over 30 years’ worth of Mexican culinary experience and have mastered the art of bringing Mexico to Putney! They offer small or regular sized burritos with your choice of steak, chicken, pork, prawns, or veggies! They fill them with all your favs wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla. If you opt for the Smothered Burrito (it is my pick) your burrito will be smothered with your choice of salsa, jalapenos, melted cheese, sour cream and gauc! YUM.

Address: Unit 4/90 Charles St, Putney

El Topo Cantina Warwick Farm

This hidden gem brings Mexican street food to Sydney’s Southwest. They have a huge menu so there is plenty to choose from. Burrito-wise you can choose to have a 12” toasted flour tortilla or bowl. Take your pick of veggie with chipotle jackfruit, chicken tinga, Yucatecan pork or beef barbacoa filled with your favs. PSA: they also have Taco Tuesdays with $3 tacos and $5 tequila.

Address: 6 Homepride Avenue, Warwick Farm

Remember, happiness exists in the centre of every burrito, so happy eating!
